Building Relationships Through Facebook
At With Ease Marketing, we focus on three areas of marketing, direct mail, email marketing, and social media marketing. Over the past six month we have gotten more and more excited about the potential of building on existing relationships that we have with our clients and potential clients. But recently we our excitement has turned to the opportunity that our clients have to connect with their sphere of influence, past clients, and future clients.
A simple example of this would be, some one posting that they are seeing a lot of pink in their future. What that means of course is that in the near future this woman is having a baby a girl. What a great opportunity to send a card and congratulate them. And for a real estate agent, what a great opportunity to see if they are looking to buy a bigger house. Regardless of what avenue you take to address this “post”, this is a fabulous way to deepen your relationship and to stay connected.
Last week I had a personal experience that happened because of Facebook and it blew my mind. I was on my way to meet with a printing company to get a quote for a printing project and I posted that exact statement on my wall. On my way to the appointment I received a call from this very nice lady named Debbie with a local printing company in Denver. Her friend had seen my post this morning on Facebook and she thought that Debbie could at least match the quote that I received from the printer or do better and told Debbie to give me a call. Debbie went on to asked me if she could do so. I was floored! Of course I said “Absolutely!” Debbie and I went on to have a conversation about the power of Facebook and connecting people. Debbie was not on Facebook yet but she was going to start working on her profile that day. Not only did my relationship build with the person that connected us, now Debbie and I have a new relationship.
While some of you may think of Social Media as a “time sucker”. At With Ease Marketing we see is as an opportunity creator and relationship builder.
